Celebrating a Day

My aunt once asked me to help her with a speech on Woman's Day. She wanted the speech to have a distinct negative touch, for she is something of a female activist and like all female activists (or rather like all females, period?), she is never satisfied..hehe...
Coming back to the point, she wished to give the speech a negative touch and was not succeeding in the effort. Ergo, a consultation with the expert (ahem) was necessary, and the expert obliged with one sentence - 'The very fact that we need a special day to celebrate womanhood speaks volumes about the current position of the fair sex in this world.'

The same sentence echoed in my mind today when I observed the Archies honchos canvassing another marketing gimmick by celebrating September 23 as 'Daughter's Day'.
Now I find it honestly ridiculous. Are 'Sister's Day', 'Wife's Day' , 'Niece's Day' and 'Girl Friend's Day' round the corner? I wouldn't be too surprized.
I hope a smart Archie's rival initates a 'Stag's Day' or something like it...and it's almost a cinch a woman shall be the initiator of this idea...

What to say?
Some people are there who like being discriminated against. ANd they will hold the flag high, and will shout angry words..
But they will strongly object removing the factor....
For it is this factor that makes them survive

Got man y things to say..
But, this is enough..is not it?

Most of the women activists (not all) have their agenda and its all because of the shortfalls of Democracy. Ram Vilas Paswan does not want dalits to become educated and loose his vote bank. Similarly, if women are not projected as a discriminated lot of the society they can never be identified as a potential vote bank.

I will give an example from my true experience. I was involved in a case below:-
***************************************************************************************************************
Accused absconding, mother claims husband is innocent
Rashmi Rajput
A 21-year-old girl has registered a case of rape against her father at the Rabale police station on Friday. The complainant has said her 42-year-old father Shyam Prasad Vishvakarma, who is absconding, raped her at their apartment in May. The police are now on the lookout for the accused.

In the FIR, the victim has stated the incident occurred on May 30 at around 2 pm. The victim's mother had gone to visit her native place in Uttar Pradesh and the father, a businessman, was alone with the daughter for about a month.

According to the victim, she was alone in their one-bedroom flat, taking a nap, when her father who was in the adjoining flat came to visit her. The family owns two adjoining flats in Pooja Society, Airoli.
He then locked the door from inside and walked towards her and sexually assaulted her. The father then threatened her of dire consequences if she informed anyone about the incident.

Following the incident the father left for their native place and has been absconding ever since. Scared and traumatised the victim didn't confide in anyone for two months.

However, it was in July, after her relatives repeatedly questioned her withdrawn behaviour, that she finally told them.

The victim's relatives registered a complaint on July 21.

"A case under Section 376 and 506 of the IPC, for rape and threatening the victim is registered against the accused. However, the father is absconding. We have taken statements of the victim and other family members. The girl has been sent for a medical test and the reports of her test are awaited," said a police officer at Rabale police station.

However, the victim's mother claims that her husband is innocent and that her daughter is without any character.

"I trust my husband. He would never commit such a heinous crime. He is a well-respected man. My daughter on other hand is without character and I don't trust her. Somebody is using her to malign our image," said K S Vishvakarma, wife of the accused.

Now I suggested that the Mother of the Victim can be a problem in the legal Proceedings because she may become the witness for the Defense’s lets make her Mother a party to the case as Abettor under IPC 108,IPC 112 and IPC 114.(Which means she has abetted her husband in commission of the offence).Immediately on hearing this, one of the renowned Women Activist jumped from her seat. She said,” How can we go against a woman ,we are a women’s Organization, her mother is not a criminal, she is dependent on her husband on lot of things that why she is trying to protect him”. The next day, mother of the Victim came to the Organization’s office and cried whole day about the future of her other children. I literally had an intense argument in the office. Finally I took the matter to the higher ups and this was the argument they gave me….”The Social set up of our society is such that a wife is economically dependent on her husband and even though they are good in their heart and soul but have to compromise on few issue.” I was so pissed of with the answer that I never turned back to that Organization again. But before leaving, I told them that not to hide their coward nature in the name social system. Basically, people (Men and women) lack the courage and guts to stand against the Evil.

America is regarded as quite a forward nation and has always labeled us as SEXIST society. Hillary Clinton is still very much with Mr. Bill Clinton and is the candidate for the post of President in America even after the Monica scandal .This shows the true state of society across the world. Needless to say, no women Organization criticized Hillary Clinton to support such a bastard who was involved with his secretary. I must remind you that America is not such open society where extra-marital affairs are taken light by the society(As is projected in the movies). Had it been the case ,Monica’s scandal would have been thrown into dustbin the very first day. The truth is ….People are selfish and think about their individual interests, they don’t give a damn to the spirit of Womanhood or Hindutwa when it comes to their individual selves. Basically we do not need organizations for Dalits,OBC’s,Minorities,Women what we need is strong Morals.

Couldn't have got a better respone than this. Thanks Chirag for your active participation here. As for the example you quoted, I have come across a similar example where a wife and children supported (incidentally still are) the rapist. Here the woman can't even get away with the plea that she is dependednt on the husband - no, for she is a working lady earning more than enough for herself. She insists it she can't leave her middle-aged husband at a time like this. Classic example of misplaced emotion? I think it is mere spinelessness that propels the family to support a felon. And yes that ever-present fear of 'log kya kahenge.'

Most of the Rapists get full support from their wives and families. This is something all Rapists know very well in advance. And this phenomenon is rampant across all the strata of the society. To prove the mother guilty, I had said this “Who knows better about the sexual activities(and sexual appetite of a man) other than his own wife.” To this, that poor gal disclosed that her mother was always aware of this SIN. You may remember, I once backed your argument….”Women being worse enemy of Women”. I backed you based on number of personal experiences.
