!!!!!!!!!!Dhoni makes me 14 again!!!!!!!!!!

Used to be an avid cricket fan, but the match fixing controversies broke my heart. Had almost stopped watching the game, but for a few world cup matches here and there. Along came the T20 fever and I wrinkled my lofty nose at the idea like the Test cricket puritans had sneered down on the One Dayers.

But am I a happy child today! Boy o Boy what a match! What a performance! What a revival from the One-day (F50?) world cup debacle! What a wave of celebration! What an adrenaline rush! What a heart-turning-upside-down-in-the-throat situation! What a complete no-watch game for cardiac patients! What madness! What thrill!

Yaar ye to sach me anhoni ho gayi honi! long live dhoni!

And did anyone hear the losing captain's speech? One line he said was that he wished to apologize to all Pakistanis and the other Muslims in Muslim countries over the world for losing. I mean come on, you come on International TV and give a communal colour to a game like this??

There was a chapter in my Hindi Curriculum book 'Kishore Bharati' on Environment (Prakriti) where the Lekhak(writer) say..."Some People water a few plants in their balcony and feel they have linked themselves with Prakriti"....similar is the feeling when I see Young Brigade of the Nation Shouting and yelling for Team-India but hardly turning up at the Blood Donation camps or Poling Booths in elections. I have no reservations in viewing a Cricket Match in the name of Entertainment but people(in both India and Pak) are directly linking it with Patriotism. God knows about the still going investigations into Match Fixing but I can see Ajay Jadeja as a permanent feature on NDTV and Azaruddin being a regular Page 3 item. Cricket is just one of the faces of Consumerism, something like India winning the consecutive beauty pageant awards in the world.

But Yes, I was really happy for Team-India that they won the finals of T20.

Oh yes..Patriotism links are ridiculous indeed!

Yeah, someone ought to tell the Losing Captain that not everybody seconds his thoughts since we had our very own fearless Pathan brothers proving them wrong with their stellar performances.Who cares a fig what a half wit utters.I presume he said all this to escape the brickbats back home when he goes back.

Yeah Deepti,Dhoni indeed dhunaified the Pakis.Btw,that rhyming Dhoni verse was cool.

Yes, Dhoni has given a fresh lease of life to Indian Cricket and we all hail his guts and gumption.

I was actually surprized that he said so man! Just goes to show what religious fanatics these guys are...without being aware of it! I can't even leave a game alone! Crazy to mingle Cricket which is a religion itself with Islam.

The rhyme was not original...there is a 7 Up ad line starring Dhoni that goes "Anhoni ban gayi honi aur main ban gaya dhoni" :)

Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan and Shahrukh Khan - 3 Muslims within 100 ft of the speaker who did not need the paki's apology! Leave aside the muslims over the world...huh...

Losing Captain is a poor Chap who has fallen prey to the Mullah Brigade which is misinterpretting Islam.

Even I have come accros bunch of idiots who quote me BHAGWAD GITA to say...
"A person is considered superior who is impartial towards companions, friends, enemies, neutrals, arbiters, haters, relatives, saints, and sinners."

So what they want to say is..."Forgive all good and bad are equal....dont hate bad people...rather do not act against bad people"

I just give them a smile.

The comment of Pakistan captain shows that they have refused to grow and they do not want to come out from the ghetto.
But some time I do feel that muslims have to prove their love for their country quite frequently. When I was in hostel, senior use to ask muslim guys, to whom you people will clap when india pakistan clash will happen. This is also quite ridiculous...Desh se bada toh kuch bhi nahi.

For me India was always there and will remain there in INDIAN CRICKET TEAM and INDIAN CRICKET FANS.

yes, that is actually sad. It is the neo Bajrang-Dal brigade type of people who mistrust the soil's own sons..In my frinds circle I am yet to find a Muslim friend who does not cheer for India :)
