hey deeps..u said u feel sorry for the dames who r not allowed to win the sms polls for various idols.....
but i strongly differ here....however bad or biased these polls are... so far i havent seen a single female participant worthy of winning ne of these competitions...... the males here have always been miles ahead the "dames" .... its nothing but reverse sexism..... if the girls are simply not good enough why cant people accept it.....
was prajakta shukre better than sawant or sana or vaidya in II1... was ne girl better than karunya in II2.(though karunya himself dint win)..... can u say neone could give competetion to either raja,aunik or amanat in this years sa re ga ma pa.......
ok i can agree that himani was better than debjyoti in last years sa re ga ma.....but there too it wasnt himani who was the best..it was certainly vineet ......
so u must rename ur syndrome from no dames allowed to no dames worthy....
p.s. waise while talkin abt this nda syndrome why does every body forget abt Sanchita.....

1. My lament was NDA, no matter what the reason - the reason may well be just, right and fair yet yielding sad results...I am not in the position to dispute your comments as I did not watch most of these shows
2. The few episodes that I did watch, nevertheless, were enough to tell me that 'talent' plays little role in the adjudgement by the 'janata'. Hence I have every reason to lament that even SA was not enough to let the girls win!

its not abt gender bias..the whole polling system is abt regionalism......otherwise how can one explain amit paul losing out to prashant in II3..or debjyoti winning the sa re ga ma......
but then regionalism comes in mainly in the final rounds....when 3 or 4 participants are left....nd there is a mass voting on regional lines......
i still remeber when i was in patna some months back..i saw a poster of deepali at dak bunglow which read.... " bihar ki beti ko vote dijiye" maybe biharis are not that regional..[:p]

Am afraid you did not really get my meaning buddy - it does not matter whether the sms polls are mirrorring more of gender bias or more of regionalism. point is that I felt sorry about no females winning in the contests and that is why included it in the list.
and btw, i do not know who sanchita is...enlightenment needed.
some facts for u deepti...
1. sanchita is the winner of sa re ga ma pa little champs....
2.little champs was also a sms based musical show..
3.last but not the least....Sanchita is a girl....
i love the shows.. and do watch as and wen i come accross.. even though i get my skin crawling weh himesh or annu malik come with there blabbering...

I hate these musical talent hunting programs on TV. They're just stupid. People get voted for not only talent, but many more factors.
Mass opinion is in no way a criteria to judge talent. Moreover, there are hypocrites like Anu Malik judging talent!
P.S. Everyone feels sorry for the Indian Cricket Team, Tom and Wile E. Coyote.
